Thank you to our generous sponsors!
Summer reading is fun for everyone! Readers of all ages can visit the library to sign up to participate in reading challenges and attend a variety of fun programs. It's all free and open to anyone!
How does it work?
Visit the branch of SDL that you use most often. This will be your home branch.
Let the staff know that you'd like to sign-up for the Summer Reading Program and they will collect some information (We need this for reporting statistics and to notify you for program-related news such as winning a prize) and provide you with a reading record.
Use your reading record to keep track of the time you spend reading between June 7 and Aug 2.
All you have to do to complete the program is read for a total of 10 hours.
If you are an adult reading to a child or an older child reading to younger kids, both the reader and the listener can count the hours!
Once you complete your 10 hours of reading, simply return to your home library branch with your reading record no later than August 2nd to claim your completion prize!
Sign up begins June 7th and the program ends on August 2nd.
